”How To” Personal Bible Studies

If you seek to bring others to Christ you realize such requires teaching them the word of God. So how do I do that? Though there are many evangelism tools [booklets, courses, study guides etc], is there a way to organize the basics of what is necessary to win a soul to Jesus, that is still flexible and doesn't depend on/necessitate a formal tool [workbook etc]?
